  1. I try to relate to people who are unable to admit they're wrong, even when the proof is right in front of them. I just can't do it. The cognitive dissonance has to mess with their minds. I couldn't sleep at night, myself. I like being right so much, I will change my mind when somebody proves me wrong. To behave otherwise is a betrayal of the brain God gave me.

  2. I've heard that saying. I take a different approach: Say what you think, and if you're proven wrong, change your mind. You're not going to have your misconceptions exposed if you remain silent. I don't care if others think me a fool. If they can set me straight on something, my openness saved me from wasting any more time on fallacies. I'm a learner and a teacher. If people are afraid to open themselves up to criticism, they stop learning! By definition, learning is something you know now, that you didn't know, before.

People like Bret Weinstein were pointing out that there was insufficient evidence to pursue the draconian polices we pursued. Now, you're just mad that COVID wasn't deadly enough, because that "unfortunate" fact destroys all of your arguments! LOL!
