The horrifying thing is all the MDs who go along or just keep their heads down. The "care" to which you refer is a clear violation of the Hippocratic Oath. But after COVID, no one is surprised that the health care establishment and the common people are at odds.

@jasondashney Your apology for those who kept their heads down is unconvincing. This is how the Nazi death camps became a thing. "Everybody else is doing it, and the authorities tell me this is right." Very sad.

@jasondashney yes. Doctors do nothing but conform to their schools in order to earn their MD. Then they have to keep their heads down during residency, and avoid pissing anybody off. It's quite a big investment. I understand it. But I have no respect for it.

@denisegaylord382 I like to think I have a strong moral center, but as far as "backbone" goes, it's not courageous to speak your mind if it's your NATURE to speak your mind. I never make a conscious decision to be brave. More like, I just never had a very good filter.

@denisegaylord382 It takes a high degree of disagreeability to take a stand against what those around you are saying. Most men and even more women will go along to get along. I'm too stupid. I just naturally say what I believe, and when I hear something I disagree with, I'm running my mouth before I'm worrying about the consequences. I've been the only guy speaking against nonsense quite a few times, for instance in the "white privilege" trainings at work and when the bosses were saying to treat POCs nicer. Make them feel especially welcome. That's not belonging. That's patronizing. You're not accepting that person when you fawn on them. You're making them feel separate, when what they REALLY want is to be treated like everyone else, and only get praise as everybody else around them gets praised: For doing good work. The grapevine would often come around to me and whisper "You better watch what you say," but I have a clear conscience. If I went against what I believed, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night or look myself in the mirror. I'm a big chicken about stuff like that.
