@lglge611 There've been long stretches of time and broad territories, when Muslims were far more truth-seeking than backward Christians in Europe. But the problem with both faiths is the intolerant few tend to be the ones most (violently) puritanical. Islam rejuvenated decrepit Gothic civilization in Spain. But then the radical Islamists (basically the Muslim version of Iconoclasts in Rome) swept through, and Islam turned intolerant and expansionist. It's sad. Open-minded, truth-seeking Muslims made Spain a much better place. Showed better ways of thriving in that climate. Brought architectural wonders, and great water works.
