Sebastian Gorka is also annoying. He should just make his point, instead of dragging COVID and other stuff into it. The fact is that American goods have been subject to tariffs in UK and EU, since WW II, when we felt like it was our job to get every other country back on its feet at USA's expense, which included allowing them to erect protectionist trade barriers to OUR goods, but no trade barriers to THEIR goods. I do get a kick out of this "51st state" talk. The kernel of truth in such talk is the USA has been defending other countries for decades, and getting up to more than its share of mischief in so doing. I'm a "no foreign entanglements" kind of American. We never should have involved ourselves in your war with the Kaiser, and I believe that our participation in that war was in large part responsible for the rise of the Fuehrer. The USA needs to look to its own interests and the lands over which the USA has sovereignty. If you want us to fight your wars for you, then petition to become the 51st state. If you want to stand on your own, then so be it. But you can't on the one hand depend on the USA and think the USA isn't going to try to tell you what to do.

Big words and small contributions from EU and UK nations. Bannon's right on that. They can puff out their chests all they want. They're out of old stuff to give away and their rate of production of new stuff is tiny.

@wolfgangkranek376 Yes. We have the same uni-party issues in the USA. We'll see how anti-establishment Trump truly is. To get where I'd like us to get, he'd have to intentionally reduce his own power and influence. No president has come close to that, since Calvin Coolidge, who was one president who seemed to get it (at least on the role and scope of the federal government). Reagan used to praise Coolidge for that, but Reagan didn't govern like Coolidge. Like all the rest, he threw his weight around and stuck his nose where it didn't belong. 55 mph national speed limit. @ I'll buy that. I haven't paid much attention to Gorka for some time. He seems more partisan than objective, to me. I don't think he's shy about stretching a point if it helps him win an argument, which loses him the argument, even when I'm at least nominally on his side.

@chrisdavidson8525 He's clearly RIGHT about tariffs. When the world charges us 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% or more, but we don't charge THEM much, if anything, then YES. It's time to bring things back to balance. And no, you don't get what you want by asking for what you want. You get what you want by asking for way MORE than you want, so the "compromise" deal is the deal you wanted. Big difference between MAGA and the left. The left will vandalize and commit assault if you disagree with any of its sacred (5-minute-old) tenets. God help you if you missed yesterday's NPC update.
