Yes. The protesters who gather to push mail-in voting are morons. Genghis Khan was a ruthless murderer, but a big key to his success was his implementation of a meritocracy that promoted people under his rule, regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. It almost cost him his life, early on, because the "Mongol establishment" ruled by hereditary elites. Of course, when it came to HIS kids, hereditary rule was just fine, which is why the Mongol Empire eventually fell apart.

You need to check out the "Khwarezmid Empire." The Persians turned the desert into gardens, with irrigation and advanced agricultural techniques. The re-desertification of the region was at the hands of the Khan. By CHANCE, Europe was spared the Mongol invasion by the death of the Khan's son. They never got back to taking over the world after that. I think that might be the main difference between Islam and Christianity. Islam underwent genocide at the hands of the Mongols. Christianity was spared. He did some good things. Roads meant trade across continents. He also ran a meritocracy, which was very cosmopolitan. Chinese engineers were incorporated into the horde and achieved very high rank, adding siege engines and siege techniques to a horde that before that time were basically just horse archers.
