Right? I'm not 100% Irish, but damn near half. Civilizations and empires have always grown because they COULD and finders-keepers 'til somebody stronger pushes US out. This whole "empire guilt" thing is only seen in civilizations with a conscience in the West. The rest of the world is either empire and proud of it or yearns for the glory days of empire in their past. Proud that they COULD, not sad that they DID.
