  1. Keep in mind that "the media" of which you speak is setting new records for lost viewership. "The media" of which you speak is catering to a VERY small niche audience that is incapable of critical thought OR just using the media to manipulate people incapable of critical thought. The political class still pretends that "the media" are relevant, which to a great extent KEEPS them relevant, since they're making policies based on the rabid rantings on CNN, MSNBC. ABC, CBS, NBC and CNBC. But they can only maintain the pretense for so long, due to the insanely destructive policies they shove down our throats. I think their controls are slipping RIGHT at the moment they thought they could do no wrong and get away with ANYthing. And therein lies my one hope: The over-reach will finally bring the whole edifice of career bureaucrats and politicians toppling down.
