  1. If anyone can afford to lose half her audience, it's the billionaire pop singer. As an old fart, none of her music or the other teen throbs' music does anything for me. It's mass-produced and mediocre. But it sells. I think it's also trapped her in a state of arrested development. She's "awakening" like any other teenager, which means she's probably a socialist, because it provides simplistic solutions (government force) to solve everybody's problems. "Just a matter of redistributing the wealth, so everyone is well-off." She's insulated from the real world and really has no need to actually STUDY the history of real human progress, and how progress explodes when government is small and stagnates when government uses force and its monopoly on violence to redistribute the wealth created by liberty and self-responsibility. After you've been "sharing" for a few years, wealth generation takes a nose dive and everyone is worse off, except for the billionaire class and the government apparatchiks who do the "sharing."
