@martls6 ... as opposed to climate catastrophists who on the one hand warn of rising sea levels and on the other, are building beachfront mansions. He's right about the Ukraine war making it clear that buying Russian oil and gas was foolhardy, and the sanctions are hurting Europe more than Russia. But you're right about intellectuals holding forth on the issues of the day. Noam Chomsky's a linguist. Meanwhile, our "leaders" virtue signal on pollution by exporting manufacturing and oil production to foreign countries, who have far lower environmental standards than they, They're not saving the planet. They're polluting it more. They're politicians. And you choose to believe THEM rather than exercising common sense.

@steeevo0136 He sounds like that Democrat screaming about Trump's provable crimes, who ended the conversation when asked to list ONE.

@vl2429 I'd rather my health care be decided by my doctor and me, and not by some bureaucrat 2500 miles away. But you do you.

@MauriceOfInfiniteAtrocities Yes. You undoubtedly prefer the science of celebrities and elites whose "carbon footprints" are hundreds of times that of any of us plebs. Meanwhile, Europe's looking down the barrel of freezing this winter from politicians' selective following of "the science." They MAKE it "the science by funding catastrophists.

@ΗΛΙΑΣ ΛΕΓΚΡΙΑΝΟΣ Climate change is real. But anthropogenic global climate catastrophe is nonsense. Not a single one of the "approved" climate models has made a single prediction that held up to the actual climate data. They ALWAYS over-estimate the impact. I'm old enough to remember the "New Ice Age" these same people were pushing in the 1970s. Meanwhile, the polar ice caps refuse to disappear. 20 years ago, they were SURE the poles would be ice-free by 2010. Wrong. Take those same climate models and apply them to known data from 100 years ago and they predict boiling oceans by now, and they entirely MISS the general cooling that took place from very warm 1930s to very cool 1970s. Now they're memory-holing the climate of most of the 20th Century to fit their narratives, but those pesky old newspapers are still in the archives.

@dano9704 They achieve those savings by jacking up prices on everyone NOT on Medicare.
