@littleboots9800 It happens all the time. I got a 30-yr fixed-rate mortgage at age 59. It's all about how much you can afford to put down and your earning power.

Oh, I'm sure there are 51-year-olds out there who benefit. That's the beauty of big giveaways: You can always point to the beneficiaries. The harm is more widespread but is more diffuse, which makes it harder to point to the harm done until the economy crashes, and even then, they'll point fingers at everything except what caused it, which was spending money we don't have on vanity projects, to buy votes.
