  1. You just listed the reasons that Australia is a powerful nation and can make herself immune to the Chinese. Don't have to fight the Chinese or bend the knee to them, either. Just use common sense. I'd place tariffs on Chinese goods based on their state control and unfairness to workers and the environment. They use all kinds of cheats to produce cheaper goods. Make them pay the full cost of those cheats, and you'll find that Australia could be a world leader in steel, and they'd be a lot cleaner about steel production than the criminal cartel in China.

  2. You under-estimate the ineptitude, obliviousness and arrogance of the Biden administration. We have treaties with Australia based on the understanding that we have shared interests and goals. If the goal of the USA is national suicide on the altar of globalism and "save the planet" insanity, that isn't in the interests of Australia, her people, or the American people. You under-estimate the depth of the rot at the policy level of the USA. The political class isn't on our side, any more. It's bad for all people, everywhere.
