  1. All the top Democrats and more than a few top Republicans operate on a pay-to-play basis. That's why Trump represents such an existential threat to "their democracy." I sure would rather see DeSantis run instead of Trump, but I don't trust the GOP, left to its own devices, to nominate anybody other than Trump who isn't a total RINO. Without Trump, the Republicans would almost certainly nominate another skeezy RINO, like a Bush, McCain or Romney, NONE of whom represented our best principles.
