  1. I went to college in the '80s, and financial aid was already a huge giveaway for white middle class women. Here's how the game is played: Move out of Mommy and Daddy's house for a year. They'll continue supporting you, but it'll all be under the table. Get pregnant. That'll cover your food and housing. And of course, you're eligible for Pell grants and all the other free stuff. I remember these women from college. Their parents were richer than my parents, but I had to work my way through college.
