  1. At this point, there's some truth to it, since what few viewers remain are enraged by anything less than total condemnation of Trump and the same old talking points. Their programming of their main audience was too successful. It's the only audience they have, and they're abandoning them, trying to steer back into the main stream. They basically need to scrap everything they've been doing for the last 16 years, but it's all they know.
