  1. We all have gaps. Most of us try to either hide or close ours. Maybe this is his way of learning things that he never learned while he was totally absorbed as a developer. Same with Hollywood. Same with famous musicians. Mega hours getting good at one thing. Doesn't leave room for much else. You kind of have to live a very boring life to know a lot about everything.
