  2. I wouldn't mind de-funding the police, if they gave that money back to the taxpayers and communities chipped in to hire private security. I'm sure the standards would be higher, the pay would be better, and crime would plummet to near zero. Then the local police would be answerable to the people of your neighborhood, and not just the (corrupt) local government and a handful of really rich people.
