  1.  @Erik-i2f4d  That's because the "left" grafted big government to itself, which is the opposite of liberal. It's re-branded feudalism, and hence, all the socialism and its variants are actually regressive-right. They messed with the left-right dichotomy to make it useless, painted lipstick on the feudalist pig, and presented it as "new" and "forward-thinking" and "progressive." Liberty and limited government are the original "liberal" concepts. The modern so-called left is "We want our liberty AND we want a bunch of Free Stuff from the government." Idiocy being passed down from generation to generation, and people always "surprised" at loss of liberty and economic malaise.
