  2. I think it'd be fine for Star Trek to incorporate forward-thinking ideas about race and other topics. The problem is that this woke BS is nonsense and wrong-headed. Don't blame the writers and showrunners, alone. Patrick Stewart WANTS the show to do what it's doing. It's "his bit" for humanity, which is really sad. For SOME reason, I thought that the actor might somehow be as classy and forward-thinking as the character he played in Next Gen. But like most people in the entertainment industry, he's hopelessly out of touch with reality. If you want to engage in moral messaging, how about some thinly-veiled criticisms of the Chinese? Oh. That won't work. They're signing too many checks to all the right "influencers."
