  1. Brilliant, tightly-constructed review. Spot-on as far as I'm concerned. Great point about Zach Snyder, too. Perfect for this film. But made a hash of Batman-vs-Superman.

  2. I think it was a reasonably well-crafted film, but I like to see the good guys win. Give me 100 happy endings for every 1 dark, twisted tale. If I want tragedy, I'll read history or watch the news. If I want entertainment, I want to see the protagonist(s) overcome impossible odds for the win. I think "Titanic" was a good movie, but I knew it ended, badly, so I didn't really want to watch it.
