  1. Ripley. There are some real girl-boss actresses. Katie Sackhoff, who played "Vic" Moretti in Longmire is bad-ass. She played a mercenary in one of the Riddick movies. Jessica Biel is a bad-ass. They could all be action stars. I don't guess that's what's meant by girl-boss, but there are women who kick ass and take names convincingly in movies. I know we're talking about the writing more than the actress, but Linda Hamilton as Sarah Conner was right up there, until she went militant feminist, letting her method acting take over her life right around Terminator II.
