Congress can't balance the budget. Finally paying the piper.

@18KGCHAMP Libya was supposed to be an object lesson, but the rest of the world took a different lesson: Plan for the break from U.S. fiat currency. Just bide your time until the USA's blundering makes it all possible. We're reaching that point in time. USA can't crush everyone simultaneously.

@raydanielz9408 That's because we overthrow the leaders who won't play ball.

Gold prices will tell us when the tipping point is reached. So far, they're stable. But I think it's artificial, which is good for countries that are stacking gold.

They call him "Blinkin'" because his eyes twitch when he's lying.

"If you don't bend the knee, we won't let you play on our playground any more!" "That's fine. All your equipment is falling apart, and nobody wants to play with you, anyway!"

Nazi Germany exported its inflation to conquered lands by issuing worthless "scrip" to pay for all the resources they stole from conquered people. The U.S. petrodollar is rapidly becoming the same worthless scrip. Last country left holding dollars loses. Last country holding U.S. Treasury bonds loses. Nations around the world are dumping their U.S. Treasuries. It's just a matter of time until SHTF on the dollar, which is currently coasting on momentum and "business as usual," but it's coasting towards a cliff, with the most irresponsible government spending in U.S. history.

Who'd've thought that being hostile to domestic manufacturing would chase all the manufacturing away? They say they're doing it to save the planet, but really they're just off-shoring the pollution.

I don't pay much mind to economic indicators. I see the debt. I see how hard it is for contractors and the trades. I see none of the young people going into the trades. I know how much grocery prices are hurting people on fixed incomes. I'm not splitting hairs on recession or not recession.

China still needs U.S. as a customer.

USA's addicted to deficit spending. It's all gonna come crashing down, soon. We refuse to learn our lesson. It's going to get bad, and our leaders will draw all the wrong conclusions. Death spiral, and government will not, can not, exercise any discipline.

Meh. The world needs a USA that's both principled and strong. When it got strong, it abandoned its principles.

@HepCatJack We're a lot farther than 15 years from extracting anything from the meteoroid belt. But yes. If we pulled our heads out of our asses, there's all the energy and minerals we need, up there.

They did agree. They just didn't honor the agreement. Russia is teaching the West it can't play around with Russia like isolated 3rd-world nations.

You left out how much debt western governments are carrying.

They won't change until they are forced to change. No change until apocalyptic crash. People don't vote for fiscally responsible politicians. They vote for free stuff and more government intervention, to fix the damage caused by previous government intervention. We're in a financial death spiral.

The Petrodollar will live in denial until BRICS is more than just talk. Many hurdles to overcome. Much tension between India and China.

Dear Janet, Please figure out a way to pass the cost of our mistakes on to the middle class without hurting our donors. Love, Democrat Party

America is led by the most famous liar in the country. UK taught our leaders the Great Game, and our leaders play it like true imperialists, which is contrary to every principle on which the USA is founded. Like the Chinese people, WE believe in principles our leaders abandoned long ago.
