  9. Federal office should be something you do at the end of a successful career, not the beginning of a long and lucrative career at the public trough. If you can't "get by" on your government pay, maybe you're not capable enough. It should be a SHORT stint, where you bring the sensibilities of real life (much needed) to government, not where you acquire the sensibilities of Washington, DC.

They're arguing for their side to have control of the machine. Good Americans want whoever's in charge to de-commission most of that machine. That's the opposite of fascism.
