Because the people in positions to do so are in the insider club. Half the Republican Party is indistinguishable from half the Democrat Party. Bunch of career gov't employees and career politicians who want to keep the gravy train running as long as they possibly can.

Most of the Clinton Foundation money goes into the pockets of the Clintons and their cronies. If they were in Steve Bannon's position, they'd be bragging about building their first mile of wall, next week, and 90% of the donations would go to administrative costs. But Bannon's up on fraud charges because of a couple of salaries taken out.

Yes. Public Education. It's tanking. Legacy media. It's tanking. Sports world. It's tanking. They control institutions that they themselves make less relevant with every passing day. That's the trouble with BECOMING the establishment and using your power to push your agenda. You can no longer hide your agenda or pretend that it works. It's much harder to BE the establishment and get things right than it is to stand outside the establishment and criticize everything. Meanwhile, most people are just sick of establishment types and would like to see our lives LESS dominated by government institutions. Those institutions need their teeth pulled.They're too big, too powerful, and they're infested by mediocre "climbers," whose only skills are playing political games for personal advancement. Regular people control MOST of what's going on. Regular people keep the lights on and the water running. Regular people grow the food and drive the trucks that bring that food to lunatic city dwellers. We've done such a good job for so long that there's a big segment of society that lives in dream world (Clown World). And the more carried away the lunatics become, the less and less viable they are. The system can only support so much insanity for so long before Atlas shrugs.
