In a country that cared about democracy, there would be no obstacles to audits and ID verification. One side wanted to audit the results and do signature verifications One side insisted it was the fairest, bestest, most securest election, evar, and so not audits or verifications allowed. When Al Gore had a problem with Bush's victory, the country waited for them to count chads in Florida. When Donald Trump had a problem with Biden's victory, they refused to let anyone see the receipts.
