  1. Reagan threatened to withhold highway funds from states that didn't go to 55 mph speed limit. Obama threatened to cut off states that didn't promote the same confusion about bathrooms as he did.

  2. Sorry, Richard. I took civics (required) in 1979. Maybe the big cities stopped teaching it, but not all schools.

  3. Dreyfuss was wrong on one thing. We were still taking Civics in Idaho in 1980. I really expected the Hollywood actor to be all politically correct, and he wasn't. He actually gets it. But yes. Not many of today's college students know much of anything about our system. Those that do are young conservatives keeping their heads down in a toxically so-called liberal college campus setting.
