There's also an Awakening amongst sincere liberals, who are starting to see that "liberal" has been hijacked by some pretty illiberal leftists. For many, though, they're so deep down the identity-politics rabbit hole, that they can't see the authoritarianism lurking in now-traditional "liberal" norms, from urban decay to downright NASTY foreign policy, with all of it revolving around a power elite in business and government. All the stuff they want to do FOR us is just their way of doing TO us, unbeknownst...

  2. Thing is, anybody can get tripped-up by well-researched questioners on matters taking place weeks or months or years. You should check out the Twin Towers accounts from people who were in Manhattan on 9/11. When they re-interviewed people, months and years later, people not only changed their stories but couldn't IMAGINE why they said what they said the day or the week after. We mis-remember/mis-file shit all the time.

  4. Blue Brick Wall: Yes. Exactly. So-called "liberals," who are actually leftists, can seem to usher in the New Aristocracy quickly enough to suit them. Civil service, bureaucrats, and politicians are the New Aristocracy. They legislate and regulate every aspect of human life, in a day and age where life is just too complicated to micro-manage like that. California legislating on plastic straws in restaurants is the Archetypal example, but in virtually ALL things. People just aren't content to allow other people to live and prosper in their own way, and enjoy the fruits of their own labor.
