That was when I first started softening towards Trump. The way the left were reacting was over the top. Made me glad they didn't win, when I was pretty philosophical about the election, going in. Didn't like either party's candidate, so I voted Libertarian. I started actually liking Trump when he went toe-to-toe with the media, instead of putting his tail between his legs. And the media WERE and ARE insufferably arrogant, entitled, and partisan-left. I was suspicious of Trump, at first, getting his start out of his dad's wallet and undoubted connections. But he's been a breath of fresh air as president. And he knows what the fed-up working and middle-class people want to hear. And it's a message of success and prosperity to poorer people, too. He's not smothering them with "program-love." He's clearing the obstacles to their upward mobility. And that's all that 70-90% of us want.
