  1. Uh, Geraldo. They just got done reporting the losses Big Oil took. Uh. Jesse. The reason oil was temporarily so low was because the Saudis dumped a bunch of oil on the market, hoping to damage domestic U.S. oil production. Trump took advantage and built our strategic oil reserve, to level things out a little, but that was a LOSING year for oil companies. Guys like Geraldo have this touchie-feelie dream of where they want to get, but ZERO idea of how to get there without widespread catastrophe. No thought to the actual energy needs of the country or the people they hurt by destroying systems without any new systems to replace them. EVs are NOT that much cleaner, especially when you figure in the extra mining and disposal costs of all those batteries. If EVs make sense for YOU, then buy one. But leave the rest of us alone! If EVs are truly better, we'll come around, and free markets will make the transition seamlessly and with minimum harm.
