  1. I got in trouble at work for saying in my syllabus that without in-person, proctored testing, there was an asterisk next to the class. I had to take it out. But I still believe it. Just tour YouTube for "How to beat lock-down browser for tests." Schools don't care about standards. They want money and graduation mean the money keeps rolling in. Graduation = "student success," NOT competency in the content areas. I've been fighting the weakening standards for 30 years. It's a losing battle.

  2. I'm not sure what Oregon's doing isn't a GOOD THING. They're taking their madness to its logical conclusion and they will fail, utterly and miserably, providing an object lesson for our nation and the world.
