Yes. You thought they were pretty cool friends and then this viciousness comes out. I've often seen that in liberals, though, when you poke a little deeper into how things might be run if this or that goes wrong with the welfare state, and they're very mechanistic. "We'll just take this from over there and if we have to, we'll start sterilizing welfare mothers...." I've always known it was wrong to put government in charge of everything. I've just been on the receiving end of arbitrary power too many times to trust my life to anybody but myself and individuals I choose to trust, and not just who won a county-wide or state-wide popularity contest by promising special favors to stupid people. "I'll take care of you, honey" is what a pimp says to a whore.

poodle dog: I think it was Berkeley where I saw Unite America First dude get messed with (standard camera attack and flee), and the cops witnessed the act, the UAF dude was super cool and super well-spoken. Cops made the arrest and then came back to UAF and asked if he wanted to press charges. It was a (malicious) misdemeanor where the guy took a hard swipe at the phone, knocking it from his hand and catching his head. But it didn't seem like there was much harm done to phone and person, other than having some dumb-ass do that to you, and put you through that UAF is African, with dreads down his neck, and a bright red MAGA hat, just circulating around. I don't know how tough he is, but he'll go right into the crowd and start talking to people. He's got a unique look and a real gift for inoffensive gab. If ANYbody can engage crazy people in give-and-take, UAF can.

Don't give up hope on these people. Probably more than half of them could grow a brain at any moment. The knowledge is out there. I'm seeing more self-taught scholars than I ever saw before in my life, and it's a good thing, because the schools have never been more overpriced than they are, right now.
