They will face the consequences on some future day, some new TODAY, which they will win, then, too, by any means necessary. That's how this works. George W Bush should be in jail for Iraq. But the main thing was getting us into Iraq. Now it's in the past and there's zero interest in holding him or his administration accountable. We see this kind of thing all the time. They're never held accountable. Kissinger is still worshipped as some kind of genius/prophet, when he's a big part of why we're in the current malaise. Just a pernicious, pervasive world view that's utterly divorced from the reality of common people.
