  2. I can see why Republicans would be paranoid about a new universal-mail-in-balloting system, if the Democrats are for it. Republicans are to Democrats and elections like Charlie Brown is to Lucy Van Pelt and a football. This country is so hotly contested between Republican and Democrat that it doesn't take much to swing an election one way or the other. On such short notice, starting up a whole new system, mistakes will be made. I think it makes sense to encourage mail-in balloting, but I don't like the idea of governors declaring universal mail-in balloting, especially if their elections people aren't geared for it. It's an invitation to mistakes and yes, fraud.
