Do NOT make that mistake. Red-flag laws are a VERY slippery slope. Before you know it, displaying an American flag in front of your home can (and will) be defined as hate speech and/or a clear sign of mental defect, and there go your guns. You don't want those kinds of laws hanging around, because all it takes is a Demokkkrat majority in Congress and/or a Demokkkrat president to decide that something YOU do is a "red flag." Just look at how they twist the meaning of "hate speech" by subverting the language, itself.

And you're still peddling RussiaGate? I pity you.

Yes, but he lives rent-free in your head, obviously. MAGA2020!

IOW: We're SO much smarter and better than everybody else, we can abuse power wherever and whenever we wish. Love, Demokkkrat party.

Marco Polo1 : Free health care, run by central government, is a KEY feature of fascist/socialist control of the population. People will do ANYthing for that life-saving procedure that costs more than they can afford, and the feds are only too happy to oblige. Of course, you must bend the knee to receive that procedure, and that's the whole point! And of course, NObody questions that the feds can somehow create enough money to pay for things that individuals and small communities can NOT. That's how they suck us in. It's not until we're staring at HUGE FEDERAL DEBT that everyone is FORCED to recognize that it was all a Ponzi scheme from "Go," to get elected and consolidate power and control over the people.

@LJRoss-zv8hw : You answered your own question, O fraudulent one.

They would think they were in PARADISE, and wonder why so many argue so vehemently over so little. The only thing that would trouble them is the size and scope of the federal government, which has grown in size and authority beyond all recognition to what was intended. They would be horrified that such a small group in one place exercise so much power over so many. Their whole idea was to limit the harm that government can do by limiting government, itself. They didn't want national politics to be as important as we've made it.

I think there are a lot of left-wing NGOs whose main goal is to dig up dirt on Republicans, and they're using that dirt to either control or oust Republicans. It's not very nice but if Republicans have skeletons, I'd as soon see them out of office, anyway. So Dems are helping to purge the Republicans of RINOs and coercible crooks. It's purifying the party, in a way. But there's nothing like that on the Republican side, at least not yet. And so the Dems are all over the map, with all kinds of craziness that nobody's calling out. It makes them utterly unelectable. We'll just have to wait and see what the electoral ramifications are. I think Trump wins by a much bigger margin in 2020 than in 2016. We'll see if he has coat-tails. But a huge chunk of the Republicans leaving office I barely considered Republicans.

Ad hominem.

I don't like unchecked democracy, myself. But when government thwarts the will of the people, you're heading into stormy waters.

@itsmemuffins : In order to protect our free and prosperous way of life, all government asks in return is that we give up our freedom and prosperity.
