We all have a reality threshold to reach, before we're actually ready for the red pill. Then once you ARE red-pilled, the shilling on the left becomes ridiculously transparent, and you wonder how you could've been so stupid. That's the way of learning. You're a piece of shit because you don't get it, and THEN you're a piece of shit because of how long it took you to finally figure it out. People who grow embrace the suck, and keep grinding.

"Mainstream" is a misnomer. Legacy media is now a backwater.

They still haven't figured out a way to filter out subversive libertarian memes. The medium is still dominated on the user side by more freethinking, libertarian-minded individuals. And even though silicon valley is seen as the cultural nexus, the VAST majority of really good geeks tend to be liberty-minded as well. So deep down, a vast majority of the techie kingdom would be considered on the conservative side, and keenly appreciative of true meritocracy. The gaming community is a HUGE body of meritocratic thinkers. Talking shit is part of the FUN of it, and if your feelings are hurt, then that's YOUR problem. You just need to kick that trash-talker's ass, next time, and if you can't, then oh well. This is ALIEN to everything the current left stands for.

ESPN sucked before it went woke. Going woke might be the only thing that kept them going for a time. I think the slide was inevitable.

I don't agree with Whitlock on everything, but he understands some basic things about what "sport" is all about. Everybody plays by the same rules, and we celebrate the winners. It's anathema to the grinding sameness that diversity-worshipping libtards are pushing. Everybody gets a trophy. Nobody is best at anything. The same kind of thinking has even leaked into science, where narrative trumps facts, when the facts conflict with ideology. There's a lot of good research in bio and psych disciplines that doesn't get any play, because it doesn't conform to postmodernist presuppositions. It's like re-fighting battles we already won decades and even centuries ago against religious fanaticism. It's a predictable "new religion" in secular form, as the sacred forms have withered away.

It's like refusing to pray in church, because you know everybody's a sinner, so God's a POS. The symbols stand for the best in us and our highest ideals. I bitch about the system all the time, but I don't go to somebody's church or synagogue or pow-wow and take a symbolic shit on their rituals, just because I'm feeling righteously butt-hurt.

Blake Ranew : It's not even "liberalism." It's the aristocracy beckoning us back into serfdom, which is anti-liberal, if you hold to the actual definition of "liberal," rather than letting the establishment misappropriate the term. Government > People is illiberal.

I was such a KC homer, I used to hate Whitlock's guts, because he told the truth about former KC Chiefs GM, Scott Pioli. I remember not trusting him, when he staked-out reasonable positions on race matters, just KNOWING he was gonna play the race card, except he never did.
