  1. It's not good to treat drug use as a crime. Sure the illegal cartels that supply those drugs in a stupid prohibition setting are bad guys. But take all the drug-enforcement money and pour it into clinics and programs to help drug addicts. Set the clinics up next door to LEGAL drug stores. Legalize weed, at least. Cut criminal cartels off at the knees. If we could do the same for the hard drugs, shooting deaths would reach record lows, without abridging our 2nd Amendment.
