  6. We're seeing Obama's 3rd term. We're seeing where Democrats have been pointing us for DECADES. I've seen this for many years, since at least the 1980s, where anyone with a principled argument against the federal welfare state was labeled a "hater" of the poor. "If you don't support OUR idea of anti-poverty programs, you just want to keep people poor." The single biggest mechanism for raising the poor out of poverty is and always has been a free-market economy.
