  3. He's still a degenerate socialist, without much understanding of the economic roots of freedom. He's a noble serf who just wants the aristocrats to be less tyrannical. But he embraces serfdom, as an avowed progressive/socialist, even though he's too self-deluded to realize it. Economics is like a crop. You can't MAKE the seed sprout. You try to create the conditions that will enable it to sprout on its own. He thinks you can throw seeds on concrete and they will prosper if you get the right leader to yell at them.
