  3.  @jhonathanmarquez9987  Career politician is a culture unto itself, and privileges and power are doled out based on seniority, so the longer you're there, the stronger you are in the halls of Congress. It's hugely corrupt, but the districts keep sending them back to office, because they enjoy special benefits of having powerful committee chairs and majority leaders and speakers from their district. Those old-timers bring the pork home. Believe it. They are beloved. Even Maxine is beloved.
