  1. Let's sort out how we're going to manage our own affairs before making the mistake of Europe and allowing our good intentions to wreck the lives of the poor and powerless who are already here. And it's the poor and powerless whose neighborhoods are the victims of illegals more than anybody else's. Nobody's speaking for them. I'm sure illegal immigration doesn't touch YOUR zip code, Geraldo. Move to a neighborhood where the cartels hold sway. I bet you change your tune about unchecked immigration and "Sanctuary Cities" and "Sanctuary States." This is where liberals get it wrong. Too much of their do-good-ing is at the expense of the people they think they're helping. Minimum wage? You just cut 90% of teenagers out of entry-level, learn-how-to-work jobs. Food stamps and welfare? You just told another couple million poor kids that there won't be a dad in their house.
