@kevinvazquez9017 : There were quite a few prominent Republicans who quietly decided not to run for re-election. Some think it's because they were given a choice between exposure (of some unspecified sin). Half of the so-called 'blue wave' in 2018 was Republicans just deciding not to run. I think it was probably because they pissed off their base with their never-Trump agendas and were unlikely to retain their seats, anyway.

I thought he was OK this time. I'm going to disagree with him on 90% of the issues, and that's kind of his function on The Five, which is pretty much 4 conservatives and one liberal. I'm usually pretty close to Gutfeld's take, but I'll hold my nose and listen to the lefty, just to have some sense of the other side's take. The other side's take is usually WRONG, but I think it's still good to hear it.

You'd rather live in an echo chamber? I agree that Williams is pretty annoying with his democrat spin on everything, but unlike Democrats, I think we can handle hearing the other side. It's better than being stuck in our own kind of echo chamber.

It's not the evil of the CCP that's going to bring it tumbling down. It's the sheer incompetence that proliferates when one group holds power by force rather than by merit or consent of the governed. The force part works pretty good. But the people in position to use that force are increasingly incompetent over time, because they get promoted for all the wrong reasons.
