It didn't quite come out the way you meant, but yes. Presidents have the power to negotiate. But it doesn't become a treaty until the Senate ratifies it.

@Martin Smith : I'm an independent/libertarian, and the Dems are truly deplorable. And yes, half the career Republican politicians are just as bad. It's a sorry state of affairs. But the Dems are by far the greatest threat to the U.S. Constitution and your and my liberty and prosperity.

@batavusfietsbel That's a reach. We put up with these smears for 2 1/2 years, and the worm is turning. Dems are desperate. It's gonna be interesting, to say the least. Made-up Russia Collusion, meet ACTUAL Ukrainian collusion. But you're right. Nobody appreciates how valuable Hunter Biden's skills are for Burisma. Just a coincidence that he serves on their board of directors. Just a coincidence that his daddy got the prosecutor who was investigating corruption in Burisma fired. Nothing to see, here. Orange Man Bad. I get it.

@thryce82 : I think the president should be foremost respecter of the law.. There is no law barring indictment of a sitting president. That's a decision that the FBI made, years ago. And the people deciding that were appointed by and supporters of the sitting president at the time. People confuse the opinions of bureaucrats with actual law, and it's unconstitutional. It should be HARD to indict a sitting president, and God help you if you're wrong. God help the country if you're wrong. Even if you're RIGHT, but I'm sick of people believing that politicians should have special privileges not enjoyed by the people. I also think they should have all the rights and privileges of a citizen, so that blocking someone on their Twitter feed should not be something a judge tells them they can't do. Politicians are CITIZENS who happen to be serving in government. I'm sick of the double standard, whichever way it cuts.

@jgroovy1973 : Why is disagreeing with the corrupt establishment on foreign policy an impeachable offense? Trump was elected to disentangle us from foreign meddlings. So was Obama, for that matter. Obama then did what Obama does best: Dither and follow the polls. Trump actually means to follow through on reducing our footprint and breaking us free from policies formulated for the 1940s landscape. Thing about that. Our foreign policy is based on a 70-year-old world view.
