  1. As the son of a white middle-class white-collar worker in a big family, I never qualified for any aid AND I never got any financial aid from parents to go to college, either. Didn't seem to hurt me. I worked my way through, with no help. I didn't go to any fancy high-dollar schools, but I paid my own way. No whining. No coulda-woulda-shoulda. Just determined. Just worked my ass off. I just don't get all the whining from people. I know if I were African-descended, I'd be PISSED-OFF at affirmative action and racial preferences of ANY KIND. Why do people keep pushing this kind of bigotry? I don't think it hurts whites so much as I think it makes people of color think they're not as good as anybody else, which is a lie. But apparently a LOT of racist assholes believe this lie and defend affirmative action.

  2. Then you're just another example of a person who didn't need any extra help to succeed. There's no "We felt sorry and condescended to him" next to your diploma. The question remains: Why do we lower standards on the basis of skin color? That doesn't do ANYbody any good. Any man or woman with a shred of pride should be INSULTED to be on the receiving end of affirmative action. "What? You don't think I'm good enough to make it without bending the rules for me? Fuck that and fuck you." I was raised to DETEST taking anything I didn't earn. I'm a white man with a physical handicap. Never asked for anything and I make my own way. No asterisks. No special breaks. Just more hospital time than most folks on the way up.

  3. I'm sure that not liking Affirmative action is an attitude shared by Tucker Carlson, white supremacists, and anybody rational. White supremacists also eat food, take a shit, and have access to computers. You and white supremacists have a lot in common. I conclude you are a white supremacist, by logic as flimsy as yours.

  4. By far the majority of students are pretty smart about their course of study and have a pretty good idea of the kind of job they want and most are successful at it. It's the ones in gender studies and other fluff disciplines that have little or no value to society and who bitch the most about student loans. You know. The people who blame everybody but themselves for their poor choices.

  5. There's not systemic racism, except for the fact that a higher % of blacks were in poverty when Liberals decided to kill them with kindness. A growing number of whites are also in that cloying entitlement spiderweb. I'm tired of racists giving preference based on skin color. It doesn't help.
