  1. Erik Weickart: And you picked up this fact from CNN? MSNBC? FOX isn't gospel, but they've turned up a TON of facts that MSM were dragged to admitting - very reluctantly - much later. After almost a year of "Nothing Burger" from FOX, pundits on the other outlets were finally heard saying "Nothing Burger." After a string of such semi-retractions, I'd expect a thinking person to see through the MSM anti-Trump spin. Unlike some, I'm not too concerned with the press going after a president, whenever and wherever things don't look or smell right. I just wish they'd been a LITTLE bit critical and honest about the previous president.

  2. LOL! That makes sense, now. The press and DOJ got two "Cohen"s mixed-up, before. I remember the story when it came out, and it turned out that Trump lawyer Cohen was actually in the states when the other Cohen did go to Russia. Old news. Retracted news. Mr. Weikart is a victim of MSM, who trumpet their fake news, and whisper their retractions, so the impression left in low-information viewers is the original "Russian Collusion!!!!!!" narrative, which has been thoroughly debunked everywhere, except in the minds of casual viewers. But in the defense of the viewers, the media pivot so effortlessly to "new revelations" that the long string of falsified revelations in the past gets buried and forgotten.

  3. I love the whole Logan Act drama. From trumping up charges against a member of president-elect Trump's transition team for dealing with foreign governments to REAL Logan Act violations by John Kerry. Heck, I'm not sure former president, Obama, isn't guilty of Logan Act violations.

  6. The Framers never envisioned government would grow into such an Octopus. They figured the executive would be much more limited than it has evolved to be. It was Congress, itself, who created the FBI - very much not in the Constitution - and now we understand how they created a monster they cannot control. This has been brewing for a long time, since J. Edgar Hoover created his empire within an empire, with illegally obtained dirt on key policy players. This is the first time the Feebs have been publicly challenged by ANYbody, and you can see how entrenched they are by the road-blocks they put up at every turn. I LOVE obtaining un-redacted e-mails and memos. The issue was NEVER national security. That was just a convenient way for key players to avoid embarrassment. I think it'd all work, beautifully, except maybe they forgot the techies handling all the e-communications, or mid-management FBI (basically honest) and maybe a ringer amongst the higher-ups, who keep bringing out more facts. Nothing you put out there or send in e-mail can ever be un-sent. The arrogance of people like Hillary, Sztrok and Page may be the undoing of MANY bad actors.

  7. Right at the end, Laura touches on the time limitations of the format. FOX might be smart to branch out into online, extended-format programs, where people have time to give a more complete story, a more nuanced take on the issues.
