  1. That explains why Trump hired Giuliani. The former prosecutor knows all the tricks, and has USED all the tricks. Squeeze people around your target, and compel them to testify from your (the prosecutor's) script. It's been used to railroad people for many years, especially from prosecutors that are handed warrantless NSA electronic intercepts (Yes, it's happened.) that won't stand up in court, but if they can buffalo people into cracking. And it doesn't even have to be a crime. Just something embarrassing or life-wrecking to the wou.ld-be witness. Prosecutors can suborn perjury without ever being charged. Very dangerous. So much potential for prosecutorial abuse of power.
