  1.  @umidus1653  : Africa was fought over as a PRIZE by Soviet-U.S. cold warriors. Each just wanted THEIR puppet in power, for the purpose of either having access to natural resources, or just to deny them to the other, without regard for what is right or wrong. Virtually every "win" in the Cold War has turned into defeat, eventually. From Afghanistan to the Congo.
