  1. America is a violent place, filled with the descendants of criminals and slaves. And we like it this way. We're louder than everybody else, more pigheaded than anybody else, and more jealous of our freedoms than anybody else. And we like it this way.

  2. The worse it gets, the more it becomes the citizen's DUTY to be armed. Legally and safely. Get checked out for conceal-carry, and obey the law. But don't sit still if some fool starts shootin' people.

  3.  @sqkt2718  : AR 15 can give a weaker-wristed person a fighting chance against a grizzly. I don't think I'd do a good job handling a .44 or a .45. But I can handle an AR 15 and it packs a pretty good wallop. A 9 mm in camp is scant protection against a pissed-off bear, but it'll handle anything else, including rattlesnakes of the 2-legged kind.
