  2. I think the FISA judges are part of the problem. I wouldn't look for any justice from that quarter. They're worried about the exposure of their rubber-stamp behavior for the last 17 or 18 years. I think if you drill into their warrants granted, you'll find a lot of run-of-the-mill drug (and other) convictions made possible by abusing the national-security apparatus against citizens. George W. Bush-era Patriot Act was a green light to the Obama administration to weaponize the surveillance state against citizens, in ways never intended; in ways we were warned about in 2001, and everybody swore would never happen.
