  1. She's not just deceived. She's also deceptive. She launched into "Orange Man Bad" to avoid addressing the blatant lies by Fauci. The authoritarians' response to "You lied" is pure deflection. No denials. Just change the subject to something else. She's desperately trying to spin things so that her party's increasingly nonsensical and hypocritical positions can't really be defended. Now it's OK to talk about lab-leak hypothesis. The truth and common sense won out. But NOBODY'S talking about how her party and their minions in government and media forbade any MENTION of a lab leak. They got EVERYTHING wrong and now they're pivoting. NOBODY'S talking about how they used coercive means to impose their malformed and misinformed will on others by force. All that said, she's a less disgusting and lame token Democrat on the panel. The Five is actually 4-against-1-strawman. Always has been.

  3. It's not just being in power too long, Degan. It's having too much power in that office to begin with. We give far too much power to far too few people. The federal government should never have stuck its nose into COVID. The response should've been left at the state level, with each state informing and being informed by the other states. Optimal solutions would've been arrived at very rapidly, with different strategies in competition and cooperation. Instead, we put all our eggs into the hands of a handful of people with a yen for power.
