  1. Maduro's either corrupt or ignorant. That seems clear. But I think the U.S. needs to be very restrained in how they handle the situation. The Venezuelan people need to stand up, one way or another. If they want socialist rule, let them stand up. If they're sick of dictatorship, let them stand up. We should stand ready to help. I think there're STRONG indications that Maduro's re-election was fraudulent, and he's maintaining power by bribing the military and suppressing the people. Not sure I'm for or against Abby Martin on this one. She got some things right in the Middle East, not that I know everything she's said, but basically against the thinly-veiled imperialism that career politicians and career bureaucrats seem to love so much and that the American people despise.
