  1. They're only half smart. That's their problem. They think that all things remain the same when they raise taxes. Colorado tried something similar with out-of-state hunting licenses. They saw how many out-of-staters they had who were buying those licenses, and raised the price to meet their revenue goals. What happened was demand for out-of-state hunting licenses plummeted and the state of Colorado lost most of that revenue, in addition to all the revenue generated by the lodging and other purchases made by the out-of-staters. Democrats never learn. They just see us all as geese who lay golden eggs and in their greed, they think they can get MORE eggs by gutting the goose.
